Requirements

To set up the Smart DNS you will need:

1. A SmartDNS account. If you are not a current subscriber sign up here.
2. Your DNS addresses. You can find them under the Control panel on our website.

Note:

To unblock streaming services with our SmartDNS service, you have to register your IP address. Check out how to update your IP address under the Control Panel here.

Note:

Before you start to setup SmartDNS, please make sure that you have installed the apps you want with your Wii. You do this by changing your location to the United States, United Kingdom or any other region where the app you want is available. If you already have the app on your Wii then go ahead with the setup guide.

Step 1

Open Wii “Options” > “Settings”

Step 2

Go to the right, select “Internet” and choose “Connection Settings”.

Step 3

Open the active connection and choose “Change Settings”.

Step 4

Go to the right and find “Auto Obtain DNS” > select NO.

Step 5

Open “Advanced Settings”.

Step 6

Enter the IP addresses of our Smart DNS servers (you will find them under the Control Panel on our website) in the Primary and Secondary DNS server fields respectively.

Step 7

Press “Confirm” > “Save” > “OK”.

Step 8

Wait for the test to complete and restart Wii device.

You’re done! Here you will find what sites and media channels are unlocked via SmartDNS.
